Purified Oils. Only purified oils, no toxic or carcinogenic chemicals, are used in our tire production. Nokian Tyres is a pioneer of environmental friendliness in its field and is the world's first tire manufacturer to have introduced purified, low-aromatic oils in its production. The tire's wet grip and other safety properties are excellent.

Hakasiping. Thanks to Hakasiping, new cellular grip edges that improve grip in snow and on ice are formed as the tire wears down. The Haka siping retains the stiffness of the surface pattern despite the heavy siping, which means that handling characteristics, in particular driving stability, are excellent.
Driving Safety Indicator, DSI Winter. The driving safety indicator on the center rib of the tire indicates groove depth. The numbers stamped on the tread show the remaining groove depth in millimeters. The numbers fade one at a time as the tire wears down.
Information Field. The tire's information field can be used to mark the correct inflation pressure and the tire's place on the car during the storage season.
The Rim Guard. The sturdy rib on the rim area protects the rim against knocks and scratches. Not available in all sizes.
The Mud Stopper. The mud stopper prevents damage to the tire by stopping dirt and other objects from getting caught between the tire and the rim. Available in 14inch and bigger sizes.
Run Flat Property (Optional). You can drive about 31 miles (50 km) on an empty tire if the car is fully loaded. If the car is only carrying the driver, the transition drive can be up to 93 miles (150 km). Nokian Tyres recommends a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 kph). In very slippery conditions the speed should be kept down to about 30 mph (50 kph). For safety reasons, run flat tires can only be mounted on cars with air pressure monitoring that is integrated into the IT system or some other system that warns of tire pressure changes, and a driving stability management system (ESP).
